Norman House on the Sound

This stone house with slate roof commands the upper end of a narrow grassy property that slopes down to Long Island Sound. One enters the house across a natural-looking pool, stepping on massive, lichen-frosted bluestone planks. The glassy water side of the house affords archipelago views from public and intimate rooms alike.
Inside, the plan is modern and open, though detailed in traditional, warm materials like reclaimed white oak and French limestone. An indoor pool occupies the lowest level, connecting with the lawn through a stone arch and large, pocketing glass doors.
